Pre-Ordering at MARTAUD: How Does It Work?

At Martaud, we mainly work on a pre-order basis to avoid excess stock and produce more responsibly. Here’s how it works!

The concept

When we release a model as a pre-order, it means we put it on sale before production. You can view the product online on our website just like a regular purchase: browse the photos, read the description, check the size guide… and fall in love! The only difference is that you’ll need to wait a little longer to receive your piece.

Timing

The key pre-order dates are specified on each product page under the section “Pre-Order Calendar and Process”:

• Pre-order opening: the date from which you can place your order.
• Pre-order closing: the last day to order.
• Shipping: the date from which we start sending out your items.

After that, only the usual delivery time remains, depending on the carrier you choose. For more information about deliveries, click here.

Our pre-order campaigns last between 7 and 15 days. To make sure you don’t miss any campaign, sign up for our newsletter.

As we explain on our commitments page, we work partly from dormant stock, meaning fabrics that have already been produced but not used, often end-of-run materials or production errors. Rather than letting them sit idle, some suppliers allow us to purchase them, thereby preventing waste and overproduction. The small limitation is that stocks are limited, which is why our pre-order quantities are also limited. It is therefore possible that the model you want to order may no longer be available during the pre-order campaign.

The Pre-Order Avantage

In exchange for the wait, you benefit from a 10 to 20% discount compared to the price of the same model outside of pre-order.

Exchanges and Returns

No worries - if the product doesn’t suit you, we offer return or exchange shipping costs upon request, within 14 days of receiving your order.

We always produce a few extra pieces to cover exchanges. If the requested model is no longer available in the desired size, we will issue a refund.

Production and Delivery

Once the pre-order period is over, we start production. It takes approximately 6 weeks. Then we receive the items, prepare your orders, and ship them as quickly as possible.

Missed the Pre-Order ?

Don’t worry, we’ve thought of that. If you miss the campaign, you can find returned items back in stock on our website (at the regular price, crossed out next to the pre-order price). And if there’s really nothing left (which we hope), it means it was a big success! We will definitely launch a new pre-order campaign for this model.
